Deagan and Alex Schwartz
In 2021, Deagan was introduced to breathwork but it didn’t stick until early 2024, when her mom received a terminal diagnosis. This caused Deagan to move back to her hometown and become the primary caregiver for the remaining five months of her life.
During this time, breathwork was an essential tool for managing stress and processing intense emotions. Having experienced how powerful this practice is amidst challenges, Deagan felt a call to share breathwork with others.
Since becoming a facilitator, she has brought breathwork to communities destroyed by natural disasters, individuals struggling with the death of a loved one, and groups of women around the country wanting to express their full spectrum of emotions (anger, sadness, love, grief, fear, joy, etc.).
From an early age, Alex experienced a host of breathing issues: RSV in infancy, asthma throughout childhood, repeated hospitalizations for pneumonia and bronchitis as a teenager, and chronic panic attacks in early adulthood. At 27, Alex re-learned how to breathe. This experience dramatically improved his athletic performance, supported high-altitude mountain treks, and helped him consciously manage stressful situations using what he calls tactical and practical breathing techniques.
He has since guided hundreds of people through transformational Active Breathwork experiences, helping them access deeper clarity, resilience, and moments of bliss through the power of breath.
