4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Operate the website

  • Remember certain preferences

  • Understand website traffic

  • Measure page performance

  • Improve website usability

  • Determine how visitors reach our website

  • Support advertising measurement, when enabled

Squarespace places certain necessary cookies automatically and may use analytics and performance cookies to provide website traffic information. Squarespace also recommends identifying third-party services embedded or connected to a site because those services may independently receive visitor data.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, the website’s cookie banner. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality.

Advertising and tracking tools

Dragon Phoenix may use services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta advertising tools, or similar services to understand campaign performance and reach people who may be interested in our programs.

These services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies. This paragraph should remain in the policy only for tools that are actually installed or used on the website.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Dragon Phoenix. These providers may include:

Squarespace

Squarespace hosts and operates the Dragon Phoenix website and may process visitor, form, cookie, analytics, commerce, and website-administration information.

Gymdesk

Gymdesk is used for class scheduling, trial registration, student and family accounts, waivers, attendance, memberships, communications, billing, and related school-management functions.

Gymdesk states that it may store children’s information when it is submitted by a parent or guardian, or with prior parental consent, and that parents may request review, correction, deletion, or discontinuation of further collection in accordance with its policy.

Kit

Kit may be used to manage newsletter subscriptions, email lists, automated communications, and marketing emails.

Zapier

Zapier may transfer information between authorized systems—for example, from a class registration form to Gymdesk or Kit—so that registrations and communications can be processed consistently. Zapier publishes information about its role in helping customers manage data-protection obligations.

Payment processors

Payment processors may receive billing and transaction information needed to complete payments and help prevent fraud.

Communication providers

Email, telephone, and text-message providers may process contact information and message delivery data.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for legitimate business purposes and under their own contractual and legal responsibilities.

6. Information About Children

Dragon Phoenix offers programs for children, but our website, registration systems, and communications are intended to be used by parents and legal guardians.

Children under age 13 should not independently submit personal information through our website, class-registration systems, email forms, or other online services.

When a parent or guardian registers a child, we may collect information reasonably needed to:

  • Schedule and provide classes

  • Maintain attendance and progress records

  • Communicate with the family

  • Respond to emergencies

  • Process payments and memberships

  • Provide online instructional access

  • Maintain safety and legal records

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act applies to certain websites and online services that knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Covered operators generally must provide notice to parents and obtain verifiable parental consent before collection, use, or disclosure.

If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information directly without appropriate parental involvement or authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete or appropriately address the information.

A parent or legal guardian may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with their child, subject to legal, safety, accounting, and record-retention requirements.

7. Photographs, Video, and Testimonials

Dragon Phoenix may photograph or record classes, events, demonstrations, or school activities.

We will use identifiable photographs, video, or testimonials for promotional or public purposes only when appropriate permission has been obtained from the adult participant or from the child’s parent or legal guardian.

Permission may be withdrawn for future use by contacting us. Withdrawal may not require us to recall materials already printed, distributed, lawfully published, or incorporated into completed projects.

8. Data Retention

Different types of information may be kept for different periods. We may retain certain records after a membership ends when required for legitimate business, insurance, safety, or legal purposes.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information.

These measures may include:

  • Password-protected accounts

  • Restricted administrative access

  • Reputable website, school-management, payment, and communications providers

  • Secure transmission where supported

  • Internal procedures for handling student and family information

No method of online transmission, electronic storage, or information security is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send sensitive payment, medical, identity, or account information through ordinary email unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure method.

10. Your Choices and Requests

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Delete information that is no longer needed

  • Update communication preferences

  • Unsubscribe from marketing email

  • Stop promotional text messages

  • Withdraw future photo or testimonial permission

  • Close or update a Dragon Phoenix account

Some requests may be limited when information must be retained for payment, tax, insurance, waiver, safety, dispute, contractual, or legal purposes.

To submit a request, contact:
