Begin with a Story
and a Question

Take a few minutes to experience how we explore Dao philosophy together.

In this free lecture, Shifu Aaron shares a reading, offers perspective, and invites you to consider its meaning in your own life. Pause when a question interests you, reflect on your first response, and notice whether the teaching opens
another way of seeing.

Take a Moment to Reflect

What stood out to you? Did anything challenge your first impression or connect with an experience in your own life?

Within the membership, you’re welcome to share reflections with fellow students, explore different interpretations, or simply listen and consider quietly.

Explore the Teachings

Follow your curiosity through classic writings, thought-provoking stories, and explanations of Daoist ideas. Each subject offers a different starting point for reflection, with connections you can explore over time.

Dao De Ching

Explore readings and explanations that invite reflection on simplicity, action, leadership, and our relationship with the world. Consider the questions each passage raises and how its ideas relate to your own experiences.

Lieh Tzu

Discover stories that invite you to question assumptions and consider unfamiliar perspectives. Begin with a discussion question, listen to the story, and reflect on how your understanding changes along the way.

I-Ching

Explore explanations of the Book of Changes and its ways of understanding patterns, relationships, and transformation. Consider how these ideas can deepen your reflection on changing circumstances.

Internal Alchemy

Explore concepts of internal cultivation and their relationship to awareness and practice. Aaron offers explanations that help you approach these ideas thoughtfully and develop your understanding over time.

A Space to Think for Yourself

A story or passage can take on new meaning when we pause, question our first response, and consider another perspective.

Aaron’s teaching invites you to explore ideas, connect them with your own experiences, and develop your own understanding. Many lectures are recorded during in-person Kung Fu classes, where readings and explanations open into questions and conversation.

Within the online community, you can share your reflections, ask questions, and consider how others see the same teaching. Aaron joins discussions from time to time to offer perspective and encourage further exploration.

You’re equally welcome to listen quietly. There is no requirement to post, keep pace with others, or arrive at a particular interpretation. Bring curiosity and respect, and give your understanding room to grow.
